2015 UK Songwriting Contest opens for entries

Legendary producer Stuart Epps has worked closely with the likes of Elton John, George Harrison and Led Zeppelin

This year’s UKSC competition launches with a grand prize of working with, and being mentored by, British producer Stuart Epps

his week saw the annual UK Songwriting Contest open for entry to its 2015 competition, announcing yet another impressive set of prizes and an acclaimed panel of judges from the music industry, including acclaimed producers Kipper Eldridge and Stuart Epps, award-winning Hollywood producer-arranger Richard Niles, musical director Simon Ellis, singer-songwriter Lucie Diamond and previous UKSC winner Natalie Chua.

Prizes this year include the opportunity to work with, and be mentored by, the legendary British producer Stuart Epps and join the Epps Music Productions stable of songwriters and artists. Stuart Epps has worked closely with some of the biggest names and most famous songwriters in the business such as Elton John, Oasis, Robbie Williams, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison and more.

There will be 17 winners across the song categories: Pop, Lyrics Only, Singer/Songwriter, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Love Songs, Acoustic & Folk, Under 18s, Music Videos, Jazz & Blues, Country, Christian/Faith, R&B/HipHop/Rap, Instrumental, Open/Other Category, Electronic/Dance/Ambient and Christmas Songs.

Finalist, Semi Finalist and Commended Entry winners will also be chosen in each category, with every entrant getting their songs heard and rated by industry professionals. Everyone who enters also receives song pitching opportunities and songwriting courses at SongU and a Broadjam membership, plus each songwriter will receive a judges score and a UKSC Certificate for every song entered.

The UK Songwriting Contest was launched in London in 2002 in association with The BRIT Trust, The BRIT School, The BRIT Studio, Music Aid International, and The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers.
