A forthcoming battle of the bands competition will put one lucky act on the line-up of the major UK festival
alkabout have teamed up with V Festival, Jack Daniels, and Future Music to run ‘Highway to V Festival’, a national battle of the bands competition. Aspiring acts from across the UK will compete to win a set opening up the festival on Friday 21 August and perform in front of a crowd of around 15,000 people, with the winner also getting expenses paid, festival tickets and spending money to boot.
V Festival takes place in Staffordshire and Chelmsford on 22-23 August and this year’s line up includes: Kasabian, Calvin Harris, Stereophonics, Sam Smith, Annie Mac, Clean Bandit, Tom Jones and Paloma Faith.
The Highway to V Festival competition will take place from 15 July at selected Walkabout venues across the UK, with the Grand Final taking place in London on Sunday 2 August to decide the winning act.
