We round-up the last week in music, including news you might’ve missed, our SongsOfTheWeek playlist and Classic Of The Week

We’re back folks. Though, it’s not just us who have returned. Following last Thursday’s general election, hope has returned to the UK’s political landscape and there is now the real belief that positive change can be achieved.

Yes, Labour secured fewer votes than the Tories and yes Theresa May has clung on to power, for now… But let’s be clear here, Jeremy Corbyn has re-energised the disaffected, disrespected and disregarded.

Gone is the ownership of political debate by the defenders of a policy that has squeezed society’s poorest and stamped on dissenting voices. In its place is the cry of a youthful opposition that will no longer scream to a sigh.

There is still much work to be done, but the horizon is now in view; we must press on and do so with vigour. But before we do, thank you, Jeremy, John and the rest of your team for giving us back our hope.
