The DSA’s annual songwriting competition for amateur songwriters is now open for entry, with a prize fund worth over $5,000
Now in its 26th year, the Dallas Songwriters Association (DSA) Song Contest – one of the longest running international song competitions for amateur songwriters – has opened for entry. Winning entrants will take home over $5,000 in grand prizes, including a Privia PX-350 digital piano from sponsor Casio, a professional demo with Beaird Music Group and memberships to Broadjam.
The DSA Song Contest has eight separate categories: Country, Pop/Rock/RandB/Alternative, Americana/Folk/Bluegrass, Christian/Inspirational, Love Songs/Easy Listening, Children’s/Novelty, Singer-Songwriter and Instrumental.
The Dallas Songwriters Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing information about the craft and business of songwriting. All styles of music are welcome in the DSA, and membership includes writers of all ages.
