Chorusgirl’s new song is the first written by the indie/noise pop band’s new member, Faith Taylor. It may have that shimmer of shiny guitars and pulsing synths, but Taylor sings of anxiety and a desperate attempt to run away and hide in isolation. It’s a well-crafted song. The band are touring now. DC

Pearce’s new single sees the country superstar infusing old-school 90s country sounds with modern day pop crossover sounds. It’s a real standout that showcases her stunning vocal tone and shines a light on her ability to write insanely catchy songs. LK

Fans of the 90s board game Dream Phone will rejoice that the London band have devoted a whole song to it. That the track is a shimmering fragment of punk-pop seems only fitting, encapsulating the magical feeling of getting through to your secret admirer (or so we’re led to believe). DH
