Arturia MiniLab MkII: for small home studios and musicians on the move

Grenoble’s gear brand readies MkII model of the petite controller keyboard with 25-note slim-keys and a space-saving, small studio-friendly size

French music software and hardware specialists, Arturia has announced the imminent release of the MiniLab MkII – a space-saving controller that’s designed for small home studios and musicians on the move. This second generation model combines a two-octave keyboard, performance pads, rotary knobs and a suite of included software.

MiniLab MkII features a 25-note slim-keys, velocity-sensitive keyboard along with eight RGB-backlit performance pads, 16 rotary knobs and dedicated octave up & down buttons. The array of controls provide access to parameters within effects, synths and DAW functions, plus two of the knobs are clickable. A responsive touchstrip gives control of pitch bend and modulation.

Now included with MiniLab MkII is Ableton Live Lite – pre-mapped to provide control of the DAW straight out of the box – and Analog Lab Lite software giving access to hundreds of preset keyboard sounds taken from Arturia’s V Collection 5. The UVI Grand Piano Model D software, sampled from a classic Steinway, is also included.

Arturia’s MiniLab MkII will priced at €99 (approx. £85). For more information, the dedicated product page: arturia.com/products/minilab-mkii/overview
