Songwriting Magazine is proud to be sponsoring ‘a micro-music-festival that celebrates really good songs and the folks who write them’
Chart-topping recording artist and songwriter, Dean Friedman will be hosting his second annual SongFest next month and Songwriting Magazine is proud to be an official sponsor. The micro-music-festival dedicated to, ‘Celebrating really good songs and the folks who write ‘em,’ will be even bigger in 2019, taking place in two locations: SongFest South is on 20-21 July at Wareham’s Springfield Country Hotel and SongFest North will be held at Wychwood Park Hotel in Crewe on 27-28 July.
As well as performances from artists such as Chris Difford, Richard Digance, Boo Hewerdine, Boothby Graffoe and Tracey Curtis, Friedman will be hosting Songwriting Masterclasses (alongside Digance) and Kal Lavelle and Fiona Bevan will hold a focussed Songwriting Masterclass for Girls & Women.
Friedman, a regular contributor to Songwriting Magazine and author of The Songwriter’s Handbook, conceived of SongFest as an indoor, boutique music festival providing an appreciative, listening audience with an intimate concert experience, focusing on excellent songs and their creators. “Each one of these songwriters is uniquely talented and fiercely original,” says Friedman. “I’m truly thrilled and honored that they’ve agreed to join me, at SongFest, to share our songs, with a listening audience.”
