US rock quartet’s seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2013s’ enormously successful ‘Mechanical Bull’, will be released this coming October

Kings of Leon’s legion of fans will have much to cheer this autumn, after the multi-platinum Nashville rock quartet announced that their hotly anticipated seventh studio album will be released in October.

Entitled WALLS, which is rumored to be an acronym for ‘We Are Like Love Songs,’ the follow-up to 2013s’ Mechanical Bull will be released by Columbia Records on 14 October and will feature ten tracks.

Markus Dravs handled the production duty for WALLS and Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill said of Dravs’ influence on the record: “He just said things that nobody had ever said to us. Like, ‘I don’t like that song, that’s not good, we can move on from that. He’d be like, ‘OK, now play it like the Sex Pistols.’ And then you’ve turned a slow song into a fast one.”
