David Gray: “Tear up the past and let it go.”

The songwriter’s singer-songwriter releases a deluxe version of 2014’s critically acclaimed long-player ‘Mutineers’ and confirms more live shows to come

ongwriting Magazine’s launch issue cover star, David Gray has released a deluxe version of his critically acclaimed and UK top 10 album Mutineers. Available through iht Records and Kobalt Label Services, the extended format will include the multi-Grammy Award winning LeAnn Rimes joining Gray on vocals for the Radio 2 play-listed Snow In Vegas, alongside six live tracks recorded during his London Roundhouse headline show at last year’s iTunes Festival, featuring live versions of three of Gray’s best loved songs from across his 21 year career; Sail Away, Nemesis and My Oh My, plus live-versions of Mutineers Radio 2 play-listed singles Birds Of The High Artic and Back In The World.

Gray’s tenth studio album Mutineers has seen the multi-platinum, Brit and Grammy nominated artist, in his own words, “tear up the past and let it go.” It has also taken the songwriter on an extensive and successful run of touring on both sides of the Atlantic, with three sell-out headline tours in the US and sell-out headline tours across Europe, including two in the UK. Further live dates are planned across Australia and New Zealand in March and April, before returning to the US on July 17 and 18 for headline shows at the Hollywood Bowl, where he will be joined by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Further shows for 2015, including the UK, will be announced soon.

“From the very outset there has been something irrepressible about the Mutineers shows,” says Gray. “An eight strong band with seven people singing, wow! When it all cranks up it has nothing less than the air of celebration.”
