Happy Sunday, dear readers. We’re back with another sublime classic for you and it’s one we’re pretty sure you’ll adore

Back in 1973, Roberta Flack scored a US and Canadian No 1 with the wonderful, Killing Me Softly With His Song. While we’re big fans of Flack’s effort, we think that the best recording of the track is the Fugees’ 1996 cover.

Selling 1.36 million copies in the UK alone since its release, the Fugees take on the classic song is deep, emotional, and a vehicle for Lauryn Hill’s magnificent vocals. It’s no surprise that it went to No 1 in pretty much every country on the planet and that we still love it today.
