Big drums, big guitars and a big chorus, Feeder are back doing what they do best. That parent album Tallulah has recently cracked the UK Top 5 is no surprise, there’ll always be listeners eagerly waiting for rock music this uplifting and…big! DH

The country music duo return with their spine-tingling new single. This heartfelt ballad about an everlasting bond was premiered two years ago during their Cartwheels tour, however, it missed out on making the final Restless Minds tracklisting. Thankfully the song has found a home and is finally in the world. It is thoughtful, beautiful and the twins’ harmonies are breathtaking. This is possibly their best release to date. LK

NICKEL & ROSE
ANOTHER MAN

With lyrics that sound like they could come from a gothic-noir novel, but turn out to be a tale of modern-day racism in the US, this soulful Americana number has an appropriately old-school feel to it. The lyrical passion is matched by the performance from Johanna Rose and Carl Nichols, which all combine to powerfully make their point. DH

FRONT SEAT
Intercept Music
With its funky country sounds mixed with modern pop sounds, Front Seat has an old-school vibe that makes this is a real standout from an artist well and truly on the rise. It shares a similar sound to the music Sam Hunt is famous for, making it a real contender to get plenty of radio airplay across the States. LK

LUNCH LADY
SWEET ONE
Upset The Rhythm
There’s a restrained confidence to this track which holds the key to its seductiveness. It chugs along for just over two minutes and, somehow, that’s enough time for it to fully draw you in. Stylistically, Sweet One manages to wear its 80s British indie influences on its sleeves, but tucks them into pockets which could only have been weaved in LA. DH

TWINNIE
SOCIAL BABIES
BMG
Twinnie is one of the exciting country crossover artists on the scene right now and her toe-tapping new single takes aim at how we’re becoming obsessed with social media and the hope of projecting a ‘perfect life’. It has some wonderful pop production combined with true country lyrics, making it the perfect summer anthem. Think 00s Taylor Swift meets 90s Shania Twain. LK
