Adam Clark: polished acoustic pop from the Big Apple

This week’s Thursday track exclusive comes from an NYC pop artist who’s already been making waves on the live circuit

Some acoustic pop vibes for you in this week’s Thursday track exclusive, as New York pop singer-songwriter Adam Clark unveils his brand new single With You. The single’s been produced by David Schuler, who has achieved multiple-platinum success previously working with artists as diverse as John Legend and P!nk.

Clark grew up singing in church choirs and began writing his own music while still in high school. His first solo releases – the single Feels So Good and the EP No Sleep, Just Dreams – emerged in 2012 and sicne then he’s been busy with live work, picking up support slots for the likes of Aaron Carter, Big Data and Joywave. But now he’s back in the studio, and With You is the first fruit of his and Schuler’s labour.

Of the song itself, he says: “I’ve wanted to do an acoustic song for a long time. During the recording process of this original version I started messing around with it for a show I had at the House of Blues in LA. I put that song in my setlist and it progressively just became a project that I got the privilege to do a year a later. I love this song, it comes from a very real place for me: it celebrates falling in love and the pursuit of finding love.”
