Our exclusive tonight folks is a watery slice of lo-fi psych-pop that comes from a precociously talented young Scandinavian songwriter
Don’t be mistaken by the name, today’s exclusive is neither an emo or an indie-folk number. Instead, our track for you today is a delightful piece of bedroom pop that comes from Stockholm.
Comprised solely of twenty-two year old Swede Ellioth Axelsson, Elliot is a lo-fi project that sees Axelsson drawing inspiration from the Los Angeles experimental pop scene including, Ariel Pink, John Maus and French singer SoKo.
Make Love To Me is Elliot’s maiden single and of the track Axelsson says: “I was sitting in my disgusting bachelor frog pad and got blown off by some teeny back-and-forth-text-me-later-mamacita and I channeled like 4 months of sexual frustration into a crackled white guy Smokey Robinson-song.”
Elliot’s been compared to Panda Bear, Deer Hunter and Animal Collective. We also think that fans of Grizzly Bear, Avey Tare and Black Moth Super Rainbow will enjoy Make Love To Me. As always, though, we’ll let you decide…
