Only another 250 of the Whitesnake songwriter’s signature guitar will be made available across Europe, before the model is discontinued
Paul Reed Smith guitars has announced a final run of Bernie Marsden’s signature SE model, limited to just 250 guitars for Europe after which the model will no longer be available. Bernard ‘Bernie’ Marsden is an English rock and blues guitarist, best known for his work with Whitesnake – he wrote or co-wrote many of the group’s hit songs, such as Fool For Your Loving and Here I Go Again.
The Bernie Marsden final run is available in six colours – Vintage Sunburst, Black Cherry, Santana Yellow, Trampas Green, Tobacco Sunburst and Grey Black – showing off the PRS book-matched flame maple veneer top. The guitar features a lightweight mahogany body, cream bound wide-fat mahogany 22-fret set neck with a 24.5-inch scale, topped by a rosewood fingerboard and a pair of SE 245 humbuckers.
“I have played my SE on stage and in the studio all over the world, and will continue to do so – it sounds great and has never let me down,” says Marsden. “I look forward to continuing my relationship with PRS and would like to thank them for making such a great guitar with my name on it!”
These Final Run Limited Edition versions are available at the same price as the original at £695, which includes a PRS gigbag. For full details, visit: prsguitars.com
