The Californian guitar maker introduces the LC150S standard model and LC150SCE acoustic-electric with Fishman pickup and Clásica III onboard preamp
alifornia-based luthier, Lucero has announced the arrival of the LC150 Series of classical guitars. Combining striped sapele mahogany back and sides with select, solid spruce tops, the new range aims to deliver unparalleled projection and tone. They also feature multi-ply real wood binding, three-ply rear marquetry strip, custom rosette, and gold hardware.
The LC150S is a standard classical guitar, while the LC150SCE is an acoustic-electric cutaway model featuring Fishman’s Sonicore Classical pickup and Clásica III onboard preamp system. The Clásica III offers a chromatic tuner with LED display and on/off button, and low-profile controls, including a volume knob, a phase button, and three bands of EQ. Both LC150 Series guitars employ white ivoroid Regal tuners and come with D’Addario ProArte nylon strings.
The LC150S will retail at $199.99 (approx. £123) whereas the LC150SCE will be $269.99 (approx. £173). Both are available now from various retailers. The company is also due to launch a new website soon: luceroguitars.com
