Line-up and details of this December’s 10-date punk rock showcase are announced, and Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019 competition kicks off
Fireball – Fuelling The Fire Tour is quickly becoming one of the most popular punk showcases in the UK, due to the calibre of bands the tour features and the low-ticket prices. Tickets went on sale yesterday (1 June) at a price of £15. Although priced competitively, there is a 50 percent increase on last year’s fee. At the same time as tickets going on sale, Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019 Competition also kicked off, giving local talent the opportunity to win a much-coveted opening support slot on next year’s tour.
Three of the four bands on the line up were revealed last week. Those bands are Celtic-punk legends Flogging Molly, SoCal punk rock veterans Face To Face, and Glaswegians Lost In Stereo, with a ‘very special guest’ still to be announced.
Since its debut in 2015, the tour organised by the Sazerac Company – an American alcoholic drinks company, responsible for making the whiskey-based, cinnamon-flavoured liquor Fireball – has played host to Less Than Jake, The Skints, Mariachi El Bronx, KEMURI, The Bennies, Reel Big Fish, Anti-Flag, Mad Caddies, and Sweet Little Machine.
In addition to the Shepherds Bush shows, Fuelling The Fire Tour will visit the following venues:
- 5 December – O2 Academy Glasgow
- 6 December – O2 Academy Newcastle
- 7 December – O2 Academy Bristol
- 9 December – O2 Ritz Manchester
- 10 December – O2 Academy Sheffield
- 12 December – O2 Academy Birmingham
- 13 December – O2 Academy Oxford
- 14 December – O2 Academy Bournemouth
