SAE Institute Los Angeles will host IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music technology, on 14 May 2016
The Institute’s LA campus is the venue for this weekend’s free music technology event, with networking, learning and songwriting competition
For the fourth year running, the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA) in partnership with SAE Institute will host IMSTA FESTA – a celebration of music technology that offers free networking, learning and teaches music producers about legal software use.
IMSTA FESTA is known as the event where notable music professionals and experts gather under one roof to discuss and share their knowledge and perspective on the state of the industry. However, attendees are also expected to include semi-professional and amateur musicians, songwriters, music producers, audio engineers, as well as music students and educators.
The all-day event features educational panel discussions, vendor demonstrations, prizes and gifts, and offers the opportunity for creative minds to interact with and gain knowledge about using music software and learn about new techniques in music production. This year’s keynote speaker is DJ, artist/songwriter and two-time Grammy nominee, Morgan Page.
There will also be an opportunity for songwriters to have a track reviewed by an MI professional and entered into the IMSTA FESTA 2016 Songwriting Competition, where the grand prize is a trip to Blackrock Studios in Santorini, Greece.
IMSTA FESTA will be held at the SAE Institute Los Angeles campus at 6700 Santa Monica Boulevard on Saturday 14 May 2016 from 11:00am – 6:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public with online registration at imsta.org
