Our Hot Hitmakers partnership with Royalty Exchange recognises the top songwriters behind the biggest hits on this week’s Hot 100
While J. Cole continued his No 1 spot atop the list of the week’s top songwriters, as expected two new Christmas songs leveraged the holiday cheer push to make their debuts. José Feliciano entered at No 11 with his seminal classic Feliz Navidad, while the late George Michael entered at No 13 with the now more poignant Last Christmas. Meanwhile, Johnny Marks rocketed up to No. 2 with Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.
Finally, Radric Davis – better known as Gucci Mane – entered at No 20 with writing credits on three hits performed by three different artists: Chris Brown, Rae Sremmurd and himself.
