While Kendrick Lamar retains his position as the top songwriter of the week, several tracks from DAMN slipped in the Hot 100 rankings… and along with them so did several DAMN co-writers. That created room for a few newcomers. Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara (aka Alessia Caracciolo) debuts at No 16 largely thanks to the surge in the charts of her collaboration with EDM producer Zedd on Stay.
Also new to the chart are YouTube viral breakout stars Ayo & Teo (Ayleo and Mateo Bowles). The brothers gained their following posting videos of themselves dancing to hits of others, and now have one of their own with Rolex.
