British fans of the legendary punk trio Green Day have much to cheer at the moment. Not only do their heroes have a new album coming out next month, but they’ve also confirmed that they’ll be embarking on a UK arena tour next February.
The three date tour sees the band playing Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Manchester’s Arena and London’s O2. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday 9 September and are available here (Leeds and Manchester) and here (London), as well as the usual sources.
Green Day release their 12th studio album on 7 October, via Reprise Records. Entitled Revolution Radio, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said of the record: “Revolution Radio is a movement for lost souls to come together, dance together, sing together, and most of all, find each other. That’s what the spirit of Green Day has been about since day one.”
Green Day play the following UK shows next February:
Leeds, First Direct Arena (5 February)
Manchester, Arena (6 February)
London, The O2 (7 February)
