Today’s exclusive is a real treat for you, with the alt-pop Lady & Jones gifting us with a five track EP

Los Angeles based duo Lady & Jones (husband and wife Matthew and Amber Jones) have been writing and performing together for over a decade. Today’s exclusive self-titled EP saw them working together with Mert Ozcan & Beto Vargas and the end result is their finest work to date.

Speaking of Lady & Jones, the duo says: “We really enjoyed working with Mert Ozcan and Beto Vargas at The Record House. They took our vision to the next level and helped us make it a reality. We couldn’t be more elated about the music we created together!”

Continuing: “The process of creating our EP has been ‘a bit of a jolly’. There is a lot of delayed gratification but also so much joy in completing a project we have invested so much of ourselves in.”

Lady adds: “Jones is the magical lyricist but he calls me “the Hammer”. I swoop in to gently make changes to the music. Gently… like a sledgehammer, I guess.”

They’ve been likened to Us The Duo, Karmin and Sara Bareilles. We also think that fans of Tori Amos, Vanessa Carlton and Michelle Branch will also love Lady & Jones. As always, though, we’ll leave the final decision on that up to you, which you can make after listening below…
