Thomas Blug presents BluGuitar with the new NANOCAB (top) and FATCAB (bottom)

The NANOCAB and FATCAB are to be launched at this week’s Musikmesse trade fair by the BluGuitar founder Thomas Blug

erman manufacturer, BluGuitar unveils a new line of guitar cabinets at this week’s Musikmesse show in Frankfurt – the NANOCAB and the FATCAB. The company’s founder, renowned professional guitarist Thomas Blug is giving several performances during the show, including guest appearances with Martin Engelien Go Music and Steinigke Band.

Designed for smaller stages and clubs, the BluGuitar FATCAB is the result of Blug’s research, during numerous tours and concerts, to reproduce the character of sound delivered by a classic 4×12-inch cab with a more compact 1×12-inch design. The resulting FATCAB hosts just one 12-inch speaker with a power rating of 60-Watt with Thiele-Small Bass-Reflex-System and extra-thick basket weave grill cloth and dimensions are 37cm x 55cm x 30cm with a total weight of 15kg.

BluGuitar’s NANOCAB is a 60-Watt 1×12 cabinet with the smallest possible footprint possible at 35cm x 35cm x 27.5cm and weighing in at 10kg. The speaker has been mounted to the front baffle from the rear and is also covered with an extra-thick basket-weave grill cloth.

BluGuitar NANOCAB and BluGuitar FATCAB are available from September 2015 at €449 (approx. £324) for the NANOCAB and €559 (approx. £400) for the FATCAB. Further information can be found at the manufacturer’s website: www.bluguitar.com
