Live At Hammersmith: “The Darkness is untamed. It cannot be caged.”

Here’s your chance to have Lowestoft’s finest in your home, as the band gets set to release a live LP

The Darkness have announced they will be releasing a live album on 15 June. The recording is of the band’s Eventim Hammersmith Apollo show which took place in December 2017. The Darkness – Live At Hammersmith will feature the very best of the multi-award-winning, platinum-selling, spandex-loving band’s songs.

Even after 15 years, The Darkness still divide opinion in the rock world. Are they a serious band or a well-designed spoof? Either way, their live shows are revered, with the group combining expertly crafted guitar riffs and solos with massive amounts of pyrotechnics.

Singer and guitarist Justin Hawkins said of the album: “The Darkness is untamed. It cannot be caged. Some very clever recording engineers have discovered a way to capture its essence; all that remains is for us to release it back into the wild.”

The Darkness go back on the road in June supporting The Hollywood Vampires, the supergroup featuring Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry. Following those four dates, the band will be supporting Queen at TRSNMT Festival on 6 and 8 July. Find out more at thedarknesslive.com
