Matt Bellamy and co will headline on Friday night, joining Coldplay and PJ Harvey at the top of the bill

There have been rumours going around for a while that Muse would be headlining Glastonbury again this year. Today, those rumours were proved to be completely and utterly… founded, with the announcement that Matt Bellamy’s band are indeed set to finish off Friday night’s action on the Pyramid Stage.

The news was broken by the band themselves via an only-slightly-cryptic video posted to their Twitter feed, which you can now see below. The announcement is actually quite historic, in its own small way: we’re told it makes Muse the only band ever to headline all three nights of the festival, having headlined the Sunday night in 2004 and the Saturday in 2010 (as the video points out).
