The 7th annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival in Henderson, KY will feature shows by more than 30 acclaimed songwriters
Over 30 award-winning songwriters are due to perform live in the heart of downtown Henderson, Kentucky later this month, in the 7th annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival.
Rookies Bar & Grill, Moose Lodge and Delkers Bar are among the venues welcoming back songwriters who have had their songs recorded and performed by artists such as, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, ZZ Top, Brad Paisley, Van Halen and George Strait.
The roster of singer-songwriters due to perform include: Tony Arata, Jim ‘Moose’ Brown, J. Collins, Billy Crain, Rob Crosby, Dan Demay, Roxie Dean, Jeffery East, Dan Friedman, Matthew Friedman, Liz Hengber, Brett Jones, Lo, Jim McBride, Shane Minor, Buddy Owens, Brent Rupard, Don Sampson, Leslie Satcher, Joel Shewmake and Rusty Tabor.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit three local agencies in Henderson. This year’s grant recipients will be Gamma Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Friends of Audubon and KYNDLE Education Foundation for the Imagination Library.
The 2016 Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival takes place Wednesday 27 July through to Saturday 30 July in the evening at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. For more information and tickets, visit sandyleesongfest.com
