Auli’i Cravalho of Disney’s Moana: singer of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s chart-topping theme song How Far I’ll Go

Our Hot Hitmakers partnership with Royalty Exchange recognises the top songwriters behind the biggest hits on this week’s Hot 100

In this special catch-up edition of the Hot Hitmakers Chart, Ed Sheeran and his songwriting partners made a strong debut on the list at No 3, 11, and 18… But the success of the animated hit film Moana has not slowed down, and all four of the tracks from the soundtrack that charted on the Billboard Hot 100 last week moved up in ranking.

That, combined with the rare scenario of the same song sung by two different performers both charting in the Hot 100, drove songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda to the very top of this week’s Hot Hitmakers. Meanwhile, Sam Hollander found his way at long last into the chart with the enduring popularity of HandClap by Fitz And The Tantrums.
