The London based alt-rock quartet Gengahr have surprised their fans by announcing the release of a new three track EP
Having released their debut album A Dream Outside to much acclaim earlier this year, Gengahr have returned with a new and unexpected EP. Entitled Tired Eyes, the EP features three songs recorded during the sessions for A Dream Outside and sees the band joining-forces with producer Nicolas Vernhes – famed for his work with Speedy Ortiz, The War on Drugs and Wild Nothing, among others.
Gengahr’s Felix Bushe said this of working with Vernhes: “We have been huge admirers of Nicholas Vernhes and all the incredible records he has produced and recorded. It was a real dream come true to find that he was a fan of what we were doing and be given the opportunity to work together.”
This Wednesday (30 September) Gengahr release a deluxe edition of A Dream Outside, which will include the Tired Eyes EP. Also included is a cover of Fugazi’s I’m So Tired and Gengahr’s own track Haunter, which featured as the b-side to their single She’s A Witch.
