LANco: the breakthrough single from their debut EP has been climbing the Billboard Hot 100 for the past eight weeks
This week Sheeran’s on top again, LANco’s Brandon Lancaster returns with his ‘Greatest Love Story’ and even Lennon-McCartney get back
Brandon Lancaster is taking on veteran hot hitmakers this week, riding the wave of his song Greatest Love Story to No 8. The breakthrough single from his band LANco’s debut EP, it has been climbing the Billboard Hot 100 for the past eight weeks, and has taken the No 4 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
The soundtrack to reunions and proposals alike, Greatest Love Story transcends the country genre with its relatable and realistic-message – one of heartbreak, reconciliation, and compromise. For Lancaster, the song’s success is vindicating. In an interview with Billboard’s Taylor Weatherby earlier last month, he exclaimed, “It inspires me, and I think that if anything it should inspire anybody — they could literally be in any circumstance, put a pen to paper, writing something that could be a song that millions of people are going to hear and people are going to respond to.”
