The Weeknd’s second album will be out next month

Album two from the leftfield R&B artist will be called ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’, and it’s out on 28 August

he follow-up to The Weeknd’s critically acclaimed 2013 debut album Kiss Land is to be called Beauty Behind The Madness, the ‘future R&B’ or ‘PBR&B’ star announced yesterday on Twitter. The album is available to pre-order on iTunes now, with an expected release date of 28 August.

Three tracks – Often, The Hills and Can’t Feel My Face – can already be purchased, having been previously released as singles. The rest of the track titles are being kept under wraps for now, as are any collaborators involved – though as reported in our newsletter last week, the rumour mill suggests The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has recently been in the studio with Kanye West. But with the 25-year-old Canadian’s debut having topped the US R&B chart and gone to No 2 on the Billboard Top 100 and No 12 on the UK albums chart, expectations for Beauty Behind The Madness will undoubtedly be high.

The Weeknd also recently hit the No 4 spot in the UK with Earned It, a non-album single from the 50 Shades Of Grey soundtrack, which you can hear below…
