Much-loved UK grime star confirms that he will be heading out on a 16 date arena tour starting this March

With his hotly awaited debut album due to be released in just a matter of weeks, UK grime star Stormzy has delighted fans by announcing he’ll be embarking on a massive arena tour of the UK and Ireland this Spring.

Speaking after the announcement, Stormzy said: “This is the moment that I have been waiting for my whole life.” Continuing: “I am now ready to certify my position as a credible artist and someone who is here for the long run.”

The London-based songwriter’s debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, is due to be released on 24 February. Speaking previously about the record, Stormzy said:

“So much has already happened and I’m still on album one. Maybe I should be on my second album now but I’m not, this is where I am. Most people’s first albums, they’re not talking about touring the world and winning awards. I was meant to still be in the ends with this one. So my album is a treasure in itself because it’s coming from such an unusual position as a debut.”
