Alison Krauss and Willie Nelson are picking up where they left off after joint tour dates were cancelled last summer
ountry fans will remember that last summer, a co-headlining tour by Alison Krauss and Willie Nelson had to be cut short when Krauss began to suffer health problems. This week, though, there’s some good news: she’s back to full health and the tour is to recommence in June.
You can catch the heavy-hitting twosome – along with Jerry Douglas – at the following venues:
Allegiance Field, Missoula, Montana (17 June)
Idaho Center Amphitheatre, Nampa, Idado (19 June)
Usana Amphitheatre, Salt Lake City, Utah (20 June)
Greek Theater, Los Angeles, California (18 July)
OC Fair Event Center, Costa Mesa, California (19 July)
Vina Robles Amphitheatre, Pasa Robles, California (21 July)
Santa Barbara Bowl, Santa Barbara, California (22 July)
Greek Theater, Berkeley, California (23 July)
Another date for Nelson fans to put in their diary is 5 May, when the 81-year-old’s second autobiography It’s A Long Story: My Life will be published by Little, Brown & Company. Co-written by David Ritz, the book brings Nelson’s story up to date since the 1988 publication of 1988’s Willie: An Autobiography.
