Stockport indie-pop band will head out on an 11 date UK tour in support of their upcoming self-titled debut album
Fans of UK indie-pop quintet Blossoms have much to be excited about right now, after the band confirmed that they will follow the 5 August release of their much anticipated self-titled debut album by embarking on an 11 date UK tour this autumn.
Kicking off with a performance at Birmingham’s O2 Institute on 23 September, Blossoms then play shows in Bristol, Cambridge, Norwich, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield and Leeds before ending the tour with a show at Nottingham’s Rock City on 7 October.
The band’s debut album is produced by The Coral’s vocalist James Skelly. Speaking of Skelly’s work on the album, Blossoms’ singer and guitarist Tom Ogden says: “James has been really important for us. He can listen to one of our songs and instinctively know what bits to push forward. He’s got an amazing ear for a good pop melody. He just brings out our best, and makes it a little bit weird in the mix as only he can. Being fans of The Coral anyway, having him produce our debut album is a perfect marriage.”
