You waited four years for her third album but won’t even need to wait four months to see her live
That is of course if you’re a UK and Ireland fan of the record breaking songwriter Adele, after the Tottenham born songwriter confirmed today that she will embark on a six city tour in the first quarter of 2016.
Starting with performances at Belfast’s, SSE Arena on 29 February and 1 March, Adele then makes her way to Dublin before hopping across to England. She plays the Manchester, Arena on 7 and 8 March, before four shows at London’s O2 (15, 16, 18 and 19 March). Next up are a pair of performances at Glasgow’s, SSE Hydro on 25 and 26 March, before the star ends with two gigs at the Genting Arena in Birmingham on 29 and 30 March.
Today (26 November) it was revealed that Adele’s much anticipated third album 25 had become the fastest selling UK album of all time. 25 has registered sales of 737,000 so far, which beats the previous record of 696,000 for an albums first week of release. The record was previously held by Oasis for their album Be Here Now. 25 has also performed strongly in the US, selling 2.433 million copies in less than half a week.
Adele’s second album 21 is the UK’s best-selling album of the 21st century and fourth best-selling album of all time, with sales of 4.77 million. So there’ll be just another six weeks until 25 overtakes it…
