Calling all a cappella songwriters around the world: here’s the contest you’ve been waiting for

In its second year, The Vocal Company’s ‘Find Your Voice’ competition prepares to open for song submissions from acts worldwide

The ‘Find Your Voice’ all-originals a cappella songwriting competition is back for a second year, hosted by US-based independent production company The Vocal Company. The 2016 judging panel consists of ARORA’s Rachel Bearer and Chris Harrison, composer and singer Harry Nichols, The Sing Off‘s Chris Diaz, Universal Publishing professional songwriter Ingrid Andress and The Vocal Company’s Peter Yang, along with the democratic input of online voters.

Find Your Voice is open to all amateur and professional songwriters worldwide, regardless of nationality or origin. Each group entering is required to submit one original song. Entries must be live performances, submitted via a YouTube link, but the level of post-production is not stipulated – judging will be based on the original content itself.

The winning prize fund includes a full production of the winner’s song by The Vocal Company to appear on an all-originals EP, a music video production and consultation with a TVC songwriter, as well as feedback from the judges, exposure and being ‘the face of TVC Songwriting’.

Initial song submissions will open on 15 February and online voting starts 10 March, with submissions closing on 15 March. The first round of voting continues while the judging process begins, until 15 April when the final round closes, followed by the winners announcement on 21 April.
