Girl is a slow-builder: through the hiss of white noise crunchy Rhodes chords gradually emerge, joined by falsetto vocals and a chilled-out backbeat. By the time sparkling synth notes enter the mix, it’s a lush, jazzy soundscape, lo-fi and endearingly so. BD

Combining catchy melodies, toe-tapping beats and relatable lyrics, this rootsy track tells a story of young love and that rush of feelings you get when you first start dating that someone.
