A collaboration with producer and mixer Jacknife Lee which marries together two tracks from A Certain Ratio’s recent album ACR Loco, YoyoGrip is a fusion of the very best kind that creates a funky dance wig-out from its source material.

Black Jeans by Summer Heart was recorded in a small room with minimal equipment and that intimacy oozes out of the speakers when listening. Dream-pop it might be, but it’s the kind of dream that has a warmth and veracity that makes you question whether you were awake all along.

Now Is The Time
NYC-based trio Bandits On The Run are renowned for their harmonies and unique instrumentation and both of those attributes are displayed on new single Now Is The Time. A cello cleverly weaves its way through the blended vocals, keeping things constantly compelling.

Lost With You
Delicate yet purposeful, Patrick Watson’s Lost With You is driven forward by a recurring piano pattern. Other haunting sounds fail to knock it off track, instead only adding to this cathartic ride.

MELISSA ERIN
Golden
Timeless doesn’t have to mean staid, as Melissa Erin proves with her new single Golden. As with Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell, Erin is able to take strands of classic folk music and spin them into something with a much broader appeal.

Feelings
With her voice gliding across the floor, there’s a waltzy vibe to Falcon Jane’s Feelings which you can’t help but get swept along with. Branson Giles’ reflective guitar provides a more than able partner.

Death By Dimitri
On Death By Dimitri, Tony Njoku takes his trap and hip hop influences and builds an atmospheric soundscape around them. The result is an immersive and interesting clash of styles which glistens with adventure.

Having already established their rock ‘n’ roll credentials, 30,000 Megabucks finds Cardiff’s Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard at their very best. Big riffs, singalong vocals and a healthy sense of humour; all the ingredients are there for one helluva good time.
