The Stone Roses set to return again
The Madchester band confirm another two homecoming shows at the Etihad Stadium in June 2016, with tickets on sale Friday
Mancester’s Etihad Stadium will host another two Stone Roses concerts in June 2016, with tickets going on sale this Friday. Rumours have been circulating with mounting speculation since dozens of posters, with the Stone Roses iconic lemon logo, were spotted in shop windows around the city, but now the news has been officially confirmed.
The core line-up of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani, and drummer Reni will look to replicate the success of their 2012 reunion tour which included three homecoming shows in Manchester’s Heaton Park.
The Etihad Stadium dates that were officially announced this week are Friday 17 June and Saturday 18 June 2016, with special guests yet to be confirmed. The band have also been confirmed as the headline act at the T In The Park 2016 festival on 8 July 2016 at Strathallan Castle, Scotland.
Tickets for the Etihad Stadium shows go on sale at 09:30am UK time on Friday 6 November 2015, with no pre-sale options available, so anyone hoping to gain admission will need to act quickly. For more details and to buy tickets, go to: ticketline.co.uk/the-stone-roses#tour
