The new Jay-Z album makes for a new leader of this week’s top performing songwriters on the Billboard Hot 100

Currently basking in the success of his thirteenth studio album 4:44, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter skyrocketed to No 1 on Billboard’s Top Artists Chart and is consecutively the No.1 seat on our Hot Hitmakers chart. The album has earned Jay-Z his 14th No 1 Billboard hit, the most ever achieved by a solo artist.

Producer Ernest Dion Wilson, better known by his stage name No I.D., is the solo producer for the album. He has worked with artists ranging from G-Unit to Kanye West as well as launched the career of Vince Staples. As the president of West’s G.O.O.D. Music label and the executive V.P of Def Jam Records, there is no question of why No I.D. served such a large role in the production of 4:44.

In other chart-rocker news, Shayaa Abraham-Joseph aka 21 Savage joined the rankings a No 3, displacing both Quavo and Kendrick Lamar, who have been leading the chart for months. His recent LP release Issa Album has brought huge success for the rapper.

Zach Crowell also joined the chart at seat No 18 for his country collaborations with Billy Currington and Sam Hunt. Lastly, Rakim Allen and Rashawn Bennett (YFN Lucci), wrap up the chart at No 20 for their hit Everyday We Lit.
