Suede release a new album and feature film next January
Suede have revealed their seventh album will be released in January 2016 and will be accompanied by a feature film
rit-pop legends Suede have announced that they will release their seventh album on 22 January 2016 and that it will be entitled Night Thoughts. That’s not all though folks. Alongside the new album, Suede will be releasing a feature film of the same title. The film will be directed by Roger Sargant, who had this to say:
“Suede and I have crossed paths a few times over the years. I sneaked onstage for their ‘93 Glastonbury show to get photos for NME, more recently I was asked directly to do some of the photography for the last album.”
Continuing: “I was asked to pitch an idea for this film project… I really had no idea what they were wanting or expecting so I tried to write in the least self-conscious way possible. The record deals with a lot of familial themes — life, death, love, anguish and despair; themes that are expanded upon in its visual companion, providing a study of how those elements affect the human psyche.”
Fans who just can’t wait until the new year to hear Suede’s new tunes can catch a premiere of both the album and film this autumn, with the band to play each in full at London’s Roundhouse on November 13 and 14.
