Nashville’s annual celebration of gear and music kicks off with performers including The Charlie Daniels Band and Craig Wayne Boyd
Nashville’s annual music products trade show kicked off today at the Music City Center. This year’s Summer NAMM will feature new and returning attendees from brands in musical instruments, gear, technologies and accessories, and includes a line-up of artists who will perform across the three-day event.
Today’s show culminates in a performance from multi-instrumentalist storyteller, Charlie Daniels, whose band is best known for hits The Devil Went Down To Georgia and The South’s Gonna Do It Again. On Saturday 25 June, the Terrace Stage will welcome Texas country artist, Craig Wayne Boyd, who first came to prominence as the winner of the 2014 season of The Voice. Saturday also sees the 33rd Annual American Eagle Awards take place, where honorees will include Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris and the Grand Ole Opry.
Each day, the Terrace Stage will present a lineup of artists with a variety of musical styles, such as soul/rock artist Paul Childers, country singer Lauren Alexander and acoustic double-neck guitarist Ian Ethan Case. Friday sees guitar duo The Constable Sisters, singer/songwriter Josh Farrow and country act Brian Rhea among those take to the stage, and Saturday’s acts include guitarist Jeff Radford and pop/country duo Truman Brothers.
Summer NAMM also provides a platform for the music instrument industry’s brands to showcase their latest products, with exhibitors including Yamaha, Peavey, Roland, Martin, Alesis, Taylor, Casio, ESP, Fender, Ovation, Ernie Ball and Heritage Guitars.
