Legendary Canadian songwriter will release a live album this June which will include songs recorded from his tour last year
Neil Young fans will have much to look forward to this summer, after the Canadian songwriting titan confirmed that he will be releasing a live album on 17 June which will include a previously unreleased song.
Entitled EARTH, the album will feature songs recorded during Young’s The Monsanto Years tour from last year. Included alongside a selection of Young’s classic tracks on the album will be I Won’t Quit, which receives its first official release.
In a press release Young said: “Ninety-eight uninterrupted minutes long, EARTH flows as a collection of 13 songs from throughout my life, songs I have written about living here on our planet together. Our animal kingdom is well represented in the audience as well, and the animals, insects, birds, and mammals actually take over the performances of the songs at times.”
Neil Young has been twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 1995 as a solo artist and then as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997.
