HAIM to release new album

Everyone’s favourite sisters have kept us eagerly awaiting their follow up album and now we can reveal the release date

HAIM”s new album, called Something To Tell You, is due out 7 July. The band have also shared a video featuring a new song called Right Now, which you can hear below. This will be the band’s second album, it follows their 2013 debut Days Are Gone, and it has a lot to live up to.

HAIM’s debut album took the world by storm. It peaked at No 2 in the US and Australia, while reaching No 1 in the UK. The album came out after the band topped the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll and signed a management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation. The band also made appearances at South by Southwest (SXSW) and Glastonbury Festival that same year.

Next month, the band are set to appear on Saturday Night Live (SNL) with Katy Perry. They will also be returning to this year’s Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds Festival, among others around the world. So the future is looking even brighter for the band.

HAIM are known for taking their time in the recording studio. Their debut took a year to make, while this year’s follow up was due out last Autumn. Instead, they decided to cancel tour dates and put more time into the record.

Guitarist Danielle said: “We write everything, we play everything and we help produce everything.”

Adding: “These things take time and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.”
