New Haven Publishing has announced the release of The Secret To Success In The Music Industry, a paperback and electronic book written by Chris Grayston – an events director, promoter, manager, label owner, distributer, songwriter and producer with over 25 years experience in the music industry.

Through the title, the author shares his inside knowledge, with aspiring singers in mind, providing advice and industry related tips to address the many hurdles vocalists encounter when trying to make it in the business.

Grayston began his career as a music promoter, organising tours for UK dance acts such as Carl Cox and Judge Jules, before going onto promote events at Wembley Arena and The O2 in London, for acts including: Zane Lowe, Tinchy Stryder, Kids In Glass Houses, The Hoosiers, and Funeral For A Friend.

During the next 10 years – working as a freelance music consultant and an A&R scout for Sony Music and Thames Television – Grayston looked for new ways to reach out to unsigned artists across the UK, and devised the national music competitions Live & Unsigned, Open Mic UK, and TeenStar. Overseeing the progress of more than 75,000 acts through the contests, led him to discover the likes of Birdy, Karen Harding, Jacob Banks, Lucy Spraggan and Luke Friend.

The Secret To Success In The Music Industry is available now either in paperback or eBook format at the cover price of £12.99, including Waterstones. For more information, visit chrisgrayston.com
