You could be decking the halls with a trophy, merchandise, and even a publishing deal if you’re this year’s winner
It’s been years since we’ve had a new festive favourite to join the likes of Last Christmas or Merry Xmas Everybody. But if you think you might have penned the next holiday hit, the 9th Annual Christmas Songwriting Competition is your chance to spread some musical cheer and make your mark on the Christmas canon.
The winning songwriter(s) will receive a coveted Christmas Songwriting trophy, $1000 worth of merchandise, and a shot at a songwriting contract with a major music publishing house. That’s not all – the top 15 finalists will have their tracks featured on a special Christmas/Holiday Compilation CD, which will be promoted to radio stations across the USA and Canada. It’s an ideal opportunity for up-and-coming songwriters and artists to gain valuable exposure.
Last year’s competition was won by Ben E. Davis, Nitanee Paris, and Ulf Anneken with their heartwarming track All I Need For Christmas Is You. The trio, collaborating across London and Los Angeles, impressed the judges with their enchanting tale of newfound love on a snowy December night. Second and third place went to songwriters T.J. Kirby, Deema Homsi, Dave Smith, Dakota Esker, and Randi Driscoll, whose festive tracks have already attracted attention from publishers.
