Morrissey has delighted his fans by announcing that he will release his long-awaited debut novel through Penguin Books this September

t’s been a while in the making, but Morrissey has announced that he will be releasing his debut novel this coming September. Entitled List Of The Lost, the novel is to be published by Penguin Books and will be released on paperback in the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa.

Morrissey’s last public comments about his maiden novel came in January 2014. Speaking then he said: “In 2013 I published my Autobiography and it has been more successful than any record I have ever released, so, yes, I am mid-way through my novel. I have my hopes.”

No plot details have been revealed about List Of The Lost yet, leaving fans and critics alike to speculate on just what might be held within its pages. Less open to speculation, though, is that with Autobiography having been a No 1 best-seller in the UK when released two years ago, the expectation around Morrissey’s debut novel is huge.
