Fans of Canadian indie-rockers Arcade Fire will be pleased to hear they’re releasing a deluxe edition of their album ‘Reflektor’
Arcade Fire fans pencil in 25 September. Why? Because on that day the Canadian indie-rock troupe will release a deluxe version of their fourth studio album Reflektor, which comes with not one but five unreleased songs, plus a brand new remix.
The band are releasing the album to coincide with a documentary about the making of Reflektor. Entitled The Reflektor Tapes, the documentary follows the band during the making of their fourth studio album and its world tour. The documentary includes interviews, concert footage and never-before seen images. The Reflektor Tapes is released 24 September.
If that wasn’t enough, Arcade Fire will also be releasing a limited edition 7” vinyl on 25 September, which includes two of the tracks from the deluxe version of Reflektor. Still not enough? Well the band will also release a cassette only version of the five new tracks and remix to feature on the deluxe edition of Reflektor. This, though, will not be released until 6 November.
The six additional tracks to feature on the deluxe edition are:
Apocrypha
Women Of A Certain Age
Flashbulb Eyes (Dennis Bovell remix ft. Linton Kwesi Johnson)
Soft Power
Get Right
Crucified Again
Reflektor was produced by former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy and was originally released on 28 October 2013.
