Alice In Chains working on new album
Seattle grunge legends are currently recording their sixth studio album, the band’s first since 2013s’ ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’
Fans of gloomy Seattle grunge legends Alice In Chains have much to cheer about today, after the band’s bassist Mike Inez confirmed that the much-loved quartet are currently recording their sixth studio album.
In an interview with guitar makers Framus & Warwick. Inez said: “Being in the studio for twenty hours a day isn’t fun, but it’s a great job. But we try to make that our clubhouse and separate that from the business, kind of. So we’re still in that… playing in the sandbox, kind of, for this new record anyways. We’re still getting together in the same city, and plugging in in the same room.”
Continuing: “Today is actually our first day [in the studio,] and I’m already late, ’cause I’m here talking to you, so it shows you how professional we still are.”
The record will be the Alice In Chains’ first LP since 2013s’ The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, which made it to No 2 on the US Billboard 200 and No 22 on the UK Albums chart. The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here also received a nomination for Best Engineered Album- Non Classical at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
