The Cribs kick off 2015 with a new album, single and tour

Band’s sixth studio album will be out 23 March… but what happened to the two that were due in 2014?

For All My Sisters akefield indie stalwarts The Cribs have announced the 23 March release of their sixth studio album. Entitled For All My Sisters, the album was recorded in New York under the eye of producer (and former Cars frontman) Ric Ocasek, and will be available on double 12” vinyl, CD, deluxe CD/DVD – featuring live footage from the band’s Christmas 2013 shows at Leeds Town & Country Club – and as a digital download.

In true Colombo fashion, though, there’s just one thing Songwriting doesn’t understand… back in 2013, we reported that the band said they’d be releasing not one but two long-players in 2014. Which never happened. Cah, the crazy world of rock n’ roll, eh?

Anyway, For All My Sisters definitely is happening. Not only that, but the band will be touring ahead of the album’s release, so catch them at the following venues:

Rescue Rooms, Nottingham (11February)
Electric Ballroom, London (12 February, part of the NME Awards)
Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth (14 February)
The Fleece, Bristol (15 February)
Oobleck, Birmingham (17 February)
King Tuts, Glasgow (20 February)
The Leadmill, Sheffield (22 February)
The Ritz, Manchester (25 February)

A single, Burning For No One, will also be released on 23 March, digitally and on limited edition red 7-inch vinyl.
