Issue 2 of our magazine app is out now on all platforms

Songwriting is proud to announce the news your mobile’s been waiting for: issue 2 of our app is out now!

ast October we brought you the first edition of the Songwriting app. Available on Android, iOS, Kindle and Windows Phone – as well as the PocketMags virtual magazine reader for desktop computers – Songwriting featured interviews with stars such as David Gray, Ben Watt and Roger McGuinn, album and single reviews, advice on technique, Introducing… pieces on molten hot up-and-coming acts and much much more.

Now we’re back with another 64 pages, and the spring edition is even better folks! We’ve got all your favourite segments from last time round and have filled them with a bunch of new and exciting songwriters, bringing you an app that you just won’t want to miss. We talk to the US and UK chart sensation Rumer and discover the truth behind her work with incomparable Burt Bacharach, and get an exclusive from Joanna Gruesome (and talk songwriting with the most exciting punk band around), as well as hearing from the truly legendary Peggy Seeger.

We also introduce American Idol finalist Paul McDonald, former wedding singer Aisling Peartree and indie-rock tyros Trust Fund. There’s lot more tips on technique (10 of them just for the piano-playing songwriter), Eg White’s story of how he wrote Leave Right Now and Rob Birch telling us the back-story to Stereo MCs’ classic Connected. As well as this, there’s reviews galore, some insightful and unique songwriting recollections from Sodajerker, and Lisa Redford’s discourse on how to make the most of social media. And if this wasn’t enough, we’ve also given our look an upgrade, with issue two possessing a veneer that Bowie would kill for.

But hey, don’t just take our word for it. All of this is available for just 99¢, or 99p if  you’re here in the UK…  that’s not much more than the price of a bar of chocolate! So what are you waiting for? Click the links below to get the Songwriting app for your device…
