Eminem to score TV crime drama
The rapper will be writing all new material for the show, which is set in his home town of Detroit
minem is to be ‘executive producer and music supervisor’ of Narc, a new TV crime series based on the 2002 Ray Liotta film of the same name which is being developed by Paramount. Joe Carnahan, who wrote and directed the movie, is writing, directing and producing the series, though which network it will be broadcast on is yet to be announced, as are any casting details.
As US entertainment website Deadline points out, Eminem will be following in the footsteps of several other musicians who have got involved with hit TV series recently – Timbaland fulfilled a similar role as regards the Fox series Empire, while T-Bone Burnett masterminded the musical content of ABC’s Nashville.
